Blends
Blends started in 1998 as a small family business. Originally Blends operated from a small craft bakery in Liverpool, initially supplying simple commodity ingredients to the baking industry.
Since being founded the company has gone from strength to strength, growing year on year. We now operate out of two 35,000 Sq Ft sites in Kirkby, Liverpool.
The company was growing at such a rate that in 2019, the decision was made to ‘split the business.’ Operating under the Blends Holdings umbrella, we now operate both Blends Flavours and Colours alongside Blends Ltd.
Blends Flavours & Colours focus specifically on new ingredients, cutting edge technologies and consumer driven innovation to build and develop key core competencies within our Flavours and Colours portfolios.
Blends Limited continue to trade our extensive range of high-quality commodity ingredients, also managing the co-packing sector where we have some international customers.
Currently Blends offer an award winning range of natural and non-natural flavourings for bakery and beverage industries.
We track and connect every product of the portfolio with Global and Domestic market trends in order to stay ahead of the curve and create the most authentic natural tastes for each sector. Every product is tried and tested in application to ensure optimum flavour experience for the customers and brands.
We also offer a range of colours, flavours and ingredients suitable for multiple applications within the Bakery, Beverage, Dairy, Frozen Confectionery, Fish Baits, Eliquid, Sport Nutrition Industries and Pharmaceutical Industry.
Blends is recognised within the food and drink industry for our flavours, colours and commodities. The flavour portfolio contains over 20,000 products, made from both natural and non-natural ingredients. We offer Flavour Enhancers providing controlled flavour release and masking of unwanted flavours.
Also, Blends work with a fully semi-automated co-packing line capable of filling 1000ltr IBC’s, 38ml retail bottles and everything in-between.
AWARDS
In 2018 Blends won the "Knowsley Business Award" as Excellence in Manufacturing/Logistics and in 2019 we won "The Liverpool Echo Regional Business Awards" as Business of the Year (51 to 250 employees).
